Thank you once again to our good friend Bill Kositzky, for taking the time to take and send me these pictures.
These are the images that were When you first walk in to Dreamers, against the far wall is the first display place you notice. Here is where Pat Herz's work is showcased, along with one from David Guntner and the first place winner from the Trick Concepts photo contest by Kim Williams.
After you see those awesome pictures, you have to turn to the right to order food or coffee, and you get to see most of the rest of the photos. If you go to the little alcove where there are couches to sit, you see these next photos. From the far left top, you see Ryano and Chelsea and Richochet, of Controlled Burn, taken by John Molezzo as part of the DaDa Motel last year. Next to that is the third place photo from the Trick Concepts contest, taken by Kyer Wiltshire. Below that on the left is Jennifer Drilling's honorable mention from Trick Concepts in their contest, and finally on that back wall is "Most Artistic" by Trick Concepts by Waldemar Horwat. Then, on the green wall at the far left is Controlled Burn honorable mention by Dara Barber, next to that is the lovely Lindsey, taken by John Molezzo of Saverio Cine Digital Works. Below that is "Battle" by local photographer Michael Herzog, and next to that is Kim Asper's honorable mention from the Trick Concepts contest and below that is "Mike Ikon" by abjectphoto. On the tan wall to the right of the green wall, at the top is a gorgeous abstract by Shone Jensen of BohoCrush. Darn the glare, get down there to see it! Next is Cory Canon, by abjectphoto, and below that is Shone's other piece, called "Om". Finding meaning in the shapes of fire is almost as much fun, and definitely as ethereal as looking at cloud formations! Next is the "Bill Wall", with Bill Kositsky's two photos of two of the lovely ladies of Controlled Burn. At the top is Rachel, and the bottom is Leilani. Both of these photos were taken at a Fundraiser we did at the Zephyr in March of 2007 for the Shiva Vista Project. Finally, as soon as you come in the door, there is a blue wall on the same wall as the door. There we showcase two amazing pictures by Geoffrey Nelson. The right side photo features our fire sister "Andrea" from Lake Tahoe. The last area is the brick wall on the same side as Geoffrey's pictures, on the other side of the door. Michael Herzog's other picture on it as well as one more from the Trick Concepts contest. We'd also like to thank Jonathan at Dreamer's for being an amazing and patient host while three women tried to decide the best placement and color scheme to showcase these photo's in the best light =) He adjusted track lighting and always had a smile for us when we asked him to move something. You are a consummate professional, Jonathan, for which we are thankful! Again, we can't thank Great Basin Color & Conservation enough for the awesome work they did to print and frame these photo's on canvas. If you are interested in purchasing any of these photos, they are $200, and Controlled Burn would like to sell five of them to cover our out-of-pocket cost for printing them. Please email gemini (at) controlledburnreno (dot) com to make arrangements.
